Abdul Karim Zito, head coach of Asante Kotoko SC after attaining a point away in their league 19 game applauded his players for a quick change to his new style of play.
The Ghanaian gaffer has recently being under pressure, following inconsistency in his performance and inability to have full house for league matches. However, seems to have found his rhythm having managed to pick up a point away from home.
Kotoko travelled to Bibiani to harvest a goalless draw against Bibiani GoldStars FC on Saturday, a performance that has earned praise by the manager insisting, he’s very satisfied with the way his players played.
He acknowledged that, comparing Kotoko performance at home against Berekum Chelsea which ended in a dramatic 0-0 draw to an away performance earning a point, there is an improvement in performance.
“Tactically, we came in with a game plan, and the game plan worked to perfection”
“If you look at how we played today and the way we played in Kumasi, there is a lot of difference in today’s game, and I’m very satisfied with the way the boys played,” Zito told the Media.
Following the draw, Kotoko still stays 4th on the log aiming to mount pressure on Medeama SC for the ultimate title.
With 32 points, they sit 8 points adrift Medeama SC who sit summit of log.
