Al Ahly Benghazi loanee Albert Amoah has spoken about the emotions surrounding his return to Asante Kotoko, admitting it was difficult to leave the club after the way their continental campaign ended.
Speaking after rejoining the Porcupine Warriors, Amoah revealed he struggled to cope with the aftermath of Kotoko’s defeat to Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) in Morocco.
“It was difficult leaving, especially because of how it ended in Morocco. I didn’t even know how to respond to messages,”Amoah said.
The forward, who recently returned to Kotoko on loan, said the overwhelming support from fans has motivated him to give his best for the club.
“Knowing that so many fans are counting on me has given me a huge boost, and I hope to repay their faith,”he added.
Amoah is expected to play a key role as Kotoko push for success in domestic competitions for the remainder of the season.
