Asante Kotoko National Supporters Chairman Solomon Fosu Ware has revealed plans to establish an 11-member advisorycommittee as part of efforts to help steer the FabuCensus in the right direction, while also defending the anger of supporters amid poor performances.

Speaking on the initiative, Fosu Ware explained that the committee is made up of highly qualified individuals with deep football knowledge.

“We are forming an 11-member committee made up of professors, doctors, former footballers and journalists. These are not just big names; they are people with strong football backgrounds and knowledge of the game,” he told  ghanasportspage.com.

He noted that the blend of academic and football expertise will allow supporters to contribute meaningfully to the club’s progress.

“They are learned people, so we can tap into their knowledge. We have already held two meetings with them and we were overwhelmed by the ideas they brought forward. It shows that the FaabuCensus is heading in a good direction, and we want the supporters to fully back it.”

Addressing growing dissatisfaction among fans, Fosu Ware admitted their frustrations are justified.

“The truth is, the fans have every right to be angry. The club is bigger than what the team is giving us. I won’t blame the supporters for how they feel,” he stated.

He was particularly critical of the performances of the technical team and players, describing them as unfair to the fanbase.

“I think the technical team and the playing body have not been fair to the fans. When I visited the players at training, I reminded them that the club signed them because they were the best at their former clubs. If the results don’t reflect that, then it’s incomprehensible.”

According to him, the club has done its part off the pitch, making the lack of results even more frustrating.

“The club has given them the best treatment, but they cannot win games, and that is unfair to the fans,” he concluded.

Asante Kotoko are on a horrific run winning just one of their last six matches. They sit 5th on the league table and have exited the MTN FA Cup with minimal chances of playing in CAF interclub competition next season.

The poor run as led to the sacking of head coach Abdul Karim Zito.
