Asante Kotoko SC supporters leader Solomon Ofosu Ware insist his outfit will on Sunday silence their arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC in Kumasi.
The 2025/26 Ghana Premier league week 22 fixture has drawn the two most glorious Ghanaian clubs for this weekend with encounter dubbed, “The Super Clash”. Hearts of Oak SC suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Kotoko in the first leg played in Accra and will journey to Kumasi for the second round.
However, the Porcupine Warriors will entertain the Phobias without Coach Abdul Karim Zito. The Ghanaian gaffer tendered in his resignation as head coach amidst unconvincing results. Zito’s sack came a day after losing 4-2 on penalties to Aduana FC in the MTN FA Cup round 16 fixture.
Despite his departure, Chairman of Asante Kotoko SC Circles Solomon Ofosu Ware believe Kotoko still got what to utilize in beating bitter rivals with and without Karim Zito.
“We can play on Sunday without a coach and still beat Hearts of Oak,” he told Onua TV.
Currently, Kotoko is sitting 5th on the log with 35 points, just a point adrift Hearts of Oak SC(36 points) and 8 points behind league leaders Medeama SC.
