Accra Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Assibey has congratulated teammates Solomon Agbasi and Benjamin Asare following their call-ups to the Black Stars for the upcoming international friendlies in March.
Reacting to the announcement, Assibey took to Facebook to celebrate the duo, writing: “You deserve it my brothers.”
The two Hearts of Oak goalkeepers earned national team recognition after impressive performances in the Ghana Premier League this season, highlighting the club’s growing contribution to the Black Stars setup.
This is Solomon Agbesi’s maiden call up to the senior national team while Benjamin Asare is already a regular and the first choice goalie.
Their inclusion in the squad is seen as a reward for consistency and strong form, as Ghana prepares for international assignments next month.
Black Stars will face Austria and Germany in the friendlies as part of preparations for upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
