The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has confirmed that the proposed budget for the Ghana national football teamahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign could reach GHS 146,268,659.80 should the team qualify for the tournament and progress to the final.
The figure, which converts to a little under $14 million, forms part of financial projections outlined for Ghana’s participation in the global competition, covering preparation, logistics, bonuses, player welfare, technical expenses, and tournament-related activities.
According to the Ministry, the projected amount represents a full competition budget scenario, dependent on the Black Stars advancing through all stages of the tournament.
Further details regarding budget breakdowns and funding arrangements are expected to be communicated as preparations toward the World Cup intensify.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars will face Germany and Austria during the March international break window as the team gear up for the World Cup.
