The Public Relations Officer of Aduana Stars supporters, Enock Amankwa, has alleged that a Dreams FC supporter attempted to stab the club’s Chief Executive Officer and sports journalist Atta Poku due to past disagreements involving Kurt Okraku during Poku’s days as a journalist.
Speaking on Ezra Sports Drive on Ezra FM, Amankwa claimed the incident was linked to tensions stemming from Atta Poku’s previous professional clashes with the Ghana Football Association president.
According to him, the alleged attacker, believed to be a supporter of Dreams FC, targeted the journalist because of those past issues involving Kurt Okraku.
“Dreams FC supporter wanted to stab Atta Poku because he had problems with Kurt Okraku during his days as journalist,” He said.
The incident highlights growing concerns about safety and tensions surrounding football discussions and rivalries in Ghana’s football space.
The allegation add to some chaotic tension that occurred during the Dreams FC-Aduana on Sunday. One of Aduana FC’s supporters’ leaders was in involved in a feud over refereeing in the match.
Dreams FC won the match 1-0 beaten visitors who ended the game with 10-men.
