The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has successfully secured four international friendlies for the Black Stars of Ghana, as they gear towards 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The four times African champions will be participating in the 23rd edition of FIFA World Cup which will be held in June this year and co-hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada. With Ghana bent on exhibiting good football and excelling from the group phase, put together friendly matches with European country’s.
Few weeks ago, the football association secured friendly match approval with Germany, Austria and Mexico.
The latest to seal is against Wales and it marks their fourth before World Cup 2026 commences.
During the March international window — Ghana will first play against Austria on March 27 at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, before taking on Germany three days later in Stuttgart.
Then face Mexico in May, with details on the venue and date still to be announced.
Against Wales is slated for June 02, at the Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L, where they will face Panama in their opening fixture on June 17. A heavyweight encounter with England follows on June 23, before Ghana conclude their group-stage campaign against Croatia on June 27.
Ghana’s last appearance at the global stage, found them finish 3rd in the group phase, however is marking their fourth appearance this time aiming to improve.
