Asante Kotoko S.C. head coach Prince Owusu has assured the club fan base of turning things around for the better before the 2025/26 league season ends. The gaffer has asked the supporters to remain patient and continue backing the team as they path way through the bush.
Kotoko has experienced difficult spell in the ongoing Ghana Premier League due to inconsistency, leading to their failure to challenge for the league title.
The Porcupine Warriors have managed just one victory in their last five matches while suffering three defeats and a draw.
The poor run has left the fans agitated, and mounting pressure on the team however Prince Owusu wants calm during this difficult period.
Speaking ahead of Kotoko’s upcoming clash with Nations FC, Prince Owusu acknowledged the frustration among supporters but insisted there is still reason for optimism.
“Yeah, I don’t blame them for giving up and everything, but I still want to tell them that there’s hope. And then we are ready to turn this around. Where we are in the league, that’s not where we’re going to end up”
“So, they should be with us till we get up there. So, we will be happy together,” the trainer said.
Kotoko will host Nations FC in their next league fixture, scheduled for Sunday, March 22 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with kickoff set for 3:00 pm.
The clash presents an opportunity for the Reds to rebuild confidence and secure victory for the supporters.
