President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has expressed strong confidence in the Ghana national football team ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup, insisting the team is ready to face any opposition and make the nation proud.
Speaking at the launch of the Black Stars’ fundraising campaign at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra on Friday, March 20, Okraku highlighted the steady progress made under head coach Otto Addo and his technical team.
“Today, we are very confident that the intangible assets that we have produced over time, the intangible assets that have been put together by coach Otto Addo and his team, we will make Ghana proud,” he said.
Okraku emphasized the team’s mindset heading into the global showpiece, noting that the Black Stars are determined to compete fearlessly.
“We will go into this tournament with our chest up, ready to fight for the strip and ready to change our story. We fear no foe and believe me, Ghana football will speak,” he added.
Ghana, making their fifth appearance at the Mundial, have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama national football team, England national football team, and Croatia national football team.
The fundraising campaign is aimed at rallying support and resources for the national team as preparations intensify for the tournament.
