The World football’s governing body, FIFA, has announced number of players qualified teams for the 2026 FIFA World Cup can parade for the tournament.
According to FIFA, all participating nations at the 23rd edition will submit 26 players as final squads.
The tournament, will be co-hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico, in the summer, however informed all nations to submit list before deadline day of May 31, 2026.
The expanded squad size—introduced in recent major tournaments—offers coaches greater flexibility to manage injuries, rotate players, and adjust tactics throughout the competition.
Ghana, who is marking their fifth appearance at the tournament has already begun preparations, with international friendly matches scheduled with Austria, Germany, Wales and Mexico.
They are set to face Austria on March 27, in Vienna before Germany in Stuttgart on March 30.
These matches are expected to play a crucial role in assessing player readiness.
Coach Otto Addo and his side will then continue their build-up with test against Mexico in May, after which the final squad is expected to be announced. A final preparatory game against Wales on June 2 will serve as the team’s last tune-up before the tournament kicks off.
Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
