Hohoe United FC has insisted on going back to their words having disclosed their decision on withdrawing from the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier league.
Their decision to abandon to league rest on injustice melted them by the Ghana Football Association and the disciplinary Committee, according to their release. Though, several administrators have asked Hohoe United FC to rescind on their decision despite yet to hear a word from the Association after putting before them their decision.
Administrative Manager of Hohoe United FC, Yusif Utman in an interview revealed that, his outfit is not going to play the league after falling to show up last week in their league game.
He also added, that the club will not return the GH₵1 million it received.
“We’re not returning the GH₵1m. Most of our matches were broadcast — how do you expect us to pay that back? We won’t play in the Ghanaian league again, but we’ll stay in football in a different capacity”
“No Ghana Football Association official has engaged us since we pulled out, so our decision stands,” Yusif told Hot FM.
Mr. Utman added that the Ghana Football Association has not made any official contact with the club since its withdrawal, and therefore the club’s position remains unchanged.
Hohoe United FC left the 18 team league with 30 points whiles sitting 17th position.
