Ghanaian coach Prince Owusu has reportedly taken to his heels leaving his role as Asante Kotoko SC interim first team coach.
The former Medeama SC head coach is said to have skipped training after his outfit lost 4-0 to his former club in Tarkwa following messages sent to him by the club fan base. The supporters asked he leaves the club, leading to his decision to skip training.
Inside source from the club, went ahead to reveal that Prince Owusu has left the team’s residence, packed all his belongings, and failing to take part in yesterday’s training session.
The coach left camp on Tuesday and he’s not willing to return to the Ghana Premier league record holder’s (25).
Prince was offered the role as head coach following the resignation of Abdul Karim Zito due to poor run of form. However, Owusu’s stewardship has been nothing short of his former boss, Zito.
Coach Hamza Obeng Mohammed is the one who trained with the team and expected to manage the side till season ends.
Currently, Asante Kotoko SC sit 6th on the league log with 43 points after 29 matches.
