Stanbic Bank Ghana has donated GHS 3 million to the Black Stars fundraising account at the Finance Ministry as preparations intensify for Ghana’s participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The donation was announced during a briefing on funds mobilization aimed at supporting the national team’s campaign at the tournament, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The contribution forms part of broader efforts by both the public and private sectors to rally financial and logistical support behind the Black Stars ahead of the global showpiece.
Officials at the briefing emphasized the importance of corporate backing in ensuring the team receives adequate preparation and support as Ghana seeks to make a strong impression at the expanded 48-team tournament.
The fundraising initiative is expected to attract further contributions from institutions and stakeholders as momentum builds toward the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
