The Black Stars has received morale bolster with the return of defender Mohammed Salisu ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Mohammed Salisu, who was ruled out in January due to an ACL injury, returned to the pitch today for light training. He currently has his sights set on the 2026 World Cup.
The center-back suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in his left knee in January 2026. He sustained it in the final moments of AS Monaco’s 3–1 loss to Olympique Lyonnais in Ligue 1.
Following medical team assessment, he was ruled out for the remainder of the 2025/26 season. However, the former Southampton player has, returned to the pitch today for light training, and ball work, marking a significant milestone in his recovery.
He currently has his sights set on the 2026 World Cup.
