The Black Stars of Ghana has touched down in the United States after their international friendly with Wales in the UK. The team departed on Wednesday night to the United States to intensify preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Coach Carlos Queiroz and his lads spent close to two weeks in camp in the United Kingdom, where they were focused on Wales friendly and other serious aspect of the game and rounded off their UK preparations on Tuesday, June 2, with a friendly at the Cardiff City Stadium.
With Ghana scoring first through Caleb Yirenkyi, saw Ghana concede late to draw 1-1 at the Cardiff stadium.
Following the match, the Black Stars have now travelled to their next training base in Providence, Rhode Island, where final tactical preparations will continue ahead of the tournament scheduled for this month.
Ghana are expected to play a final warm-up fixture against Jamaica on June 10 before heading into competitive action.
The four-time African champions will be making their fifth World Cup appearance and have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
Ghana will open their campaign against Panama on June 17, before facing England on June 23 and Croatia on June 27.
They will be aiming to progress beyond the group stage for the first time since their historic quarter-final run at the 2010 World Cup.
