Former Suriname national team coach Stanley Menzo is set to begin a new chapter in Ghana with Asante Kotoko, Dutch sports outlet ESPN NL has reported.
In a social media post shared on Monday, ESPN NL wrote: “From Suriname to Asante Kotoko: Stanley Menzo starts new adventure in Ghana,” alongside a graphic describing the former goalkeeper as the new technical director of the Kumasi-based club.
The report comes amid ongoing restructuring at Kotoko following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season, with the club expected to strengthen its technical and administrative setup ahead of the new campaign.
Menzo is a respected figure in Dutch football, having enjoyed a distinguished playing career and later moving into coaching and technical management roles. He won the UEFA Cup Winners ‘ Cup, the UEFA Cup and three Eredivisie titles. He previously served as head coach of the Suriname national team and has worked with several clubs in the Netherlands.
While Asante Kotoko are yet to officially announce the appointment, the ESPN NL report has intensified speculation that the former Ajax goalkeeper could soon be unveiled in a key technical role at the club.
