Kumasi Asante Kotoko has parted ways with head coach Eric Tinkler after three months in the post.
Aduana FC beat Kotoko 2-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League matchday four fixture, and the club’s Board of Directors announced the release of the South African gaffer from his post.
The Board of Directors of Asante Kotoko has agreed to release its head coach, Mr Eric Tinkler, from his contract effective immediately for personal reasons.
“Earlier on, both parties engaged in meaningful negotiations to avert the decision at this time regarding the relationship between the parties, but finally had to respect the coach’s decision, ” the club’s statement said.
The Porcupines will host Karela United in the Ghana Premier League matchday five fixture on Thursday at the Baba Yara Stadium without head coach Tinkler.
