The Court of Arbitration for Sport [CAS] has informed Senegal federation about the latest ruling and they have they have to wait until the end of November to learn the outcome of their appeal against the decision to award Morocco the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title.
The appeal hearing took place behind closed doors at CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Thursday, 8 October.
The arbitration panel is now deliberating on the case, with a final decision expected at the end of November.
The dispute centres on the decision to award Morocco the continental title, which Senegal is challenging through the sports arbitration body.
CAS has not yet announced its verdict, leaving the outcome of the appeal unresolved as both countries await a ruling that could have significant implications for African football.
The closed-door hearing allowed the panel to consider the arguments presented in the case before reaching its decision.
The ongoing deliberations indicate that the process has moved beyond the hearing stage, although no further details about the panel’s discussions have been made public.
The ruling, expected in the final days of November, will determine the outcome of Senegal’s challenge to the decision on the 2025 AFCON title.
