Premier league giants Asante Kotoko are set to resume intensified training on Wednesday to enhance preparations for the Champions League reverse fixture against Al Hilal.
The technical team of Asante Kotoko gave the playing body a one day break to rest on Tuesday December 29 and resume on Wednesday, December 30. This was after the club’s outstanding league match against Medeama Sporting Club last Sunday at the Akoon Park at Tarkwa, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
The team will reconvene at the club’s training grounds at Adako Jachie on Wednesday to begin an enhanced training sessions as they adopt strategic means of defying odds to beat the Sudanese giants on January 6 next year.
Unlike previously, the technical team of the Porcupine Warriors have scheduled the training in two sessions, morning and afternoon. This is aimed at having adequate preparations to enable the team to return from Sudan, having qualified for the group stage of the Champions League ahead of the Blue Waves.
Asante Kotoko suffered a 1-0 defeat to Al Hilal in the first let, and are hopeful of cancelling the deficit and to go ahead to win the match in Sudan.
