Members of Ghana’s National Boxing Team, the Black Bombers this morning to continue with their non-residential training in preparations towards Tokyo2020 Olympics Games scheduled for July to August 2021 in the historic Japanese city.
The Bombers have so far qualified 3 boxers namely Sulemanu Tetteh-Flyweight, Samuel Takyi-Featherweight, and recently Samed Shakul- Light Heavyweight
The team is still expecting some additional qualifications based on the latest AIBA rankings.
The Black Bombers are the most successful national team in the history of Ghana’s involvement in the Olympics Games since the pre Independence era of 1952 to date winning 3 of the 4 Medals that Ghana has recorded.
