The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been moved by the impressive achievement by Black Stars and Crystal Palace striker Jordan Ayew during the club’s End of Season Awards ceremony held on Tuesday, and has congratulated him after he was named Crystal Palace Player of the 2019/20 Season.
Ayew scored 9 goals in a total of 39 games he played in during the just ended season for “The Eagles”, which was enough to earn him an impressive 37% of the total votes from almost 6,000 supporters.
After the polls, Ayew emerged winner of the polls after beating other two contenders Vicente Guaita (28.2%) and Gary Cahill (16.7%).
Jordan scooped three awards at the end of the ceremony where he was named Crystal Palace’s Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season and Goal of the Season.
In a congratulatory tweet by the club at the of the awards ceremony, Crystal Palace described his overall performance for the season as “an unbelievable campaign”.
This was the sealed by a salute from the Ghana FA who also took to twitter to congratulate the son of the legendary maestro, Abedi Ayew Pele.
