The management of Wamanafo Mighty Royal Football Club has registered this displeasure over Fans’ ungodly behavior towards match officials on Sunday, March 28th, 2021.
In a statement signed by the club’s President, Mr. Ernest Kwabena Baah stated how displeased the management is and condemned the action.
“Unfortunately, there was an agitation from the side of the supported of Wamanafo Mighty Royal FC during and after the match against Bofoakwa Tano today 28/03/2021, which assaults of the referee who handled the match”, the statement reads
Wamanafo Mighty Royal FC hosted Bofoakwa Tano at the Wamanafo community park which ended in a goalless draw, after the game supporters of Wamanafo felt unsatisfied and pounds on referee Niatire Aziz Suntuo and his Assistants, leaving them very wounded.
“The management of Wamanafo Mighty Royal FC condemn the act and we solemnly express our displeasure against the act of the supporters”.
They also added that the club is ready to assist the police in all doing the necessary investigation to apprehend the culprit.
“We are currently assisting the police on all necessary investigation to bring the culprit into justice”.
In conclusion, they also rendered an apology to the affected referee as well as the FA and also plead for mercy.
“However, we plead pardon for the club from the side of the affected referee and the FA in general”.
