Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko has written to the Ghana Football Association and copied the Club Licensing Board requesting a venue change to Obuasi Len clay Sports Stadium instead of Accra Sports Stadium as their home grounds.
According to information pieced together by ghanasportspage.com, the team will move to Obuasi immediately after their request is approved and use the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium for the league matches until the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi is ready.
It is not certain why the Porcupine want to change the venue because the FA first told the Porcupine family to state the reasons why they want venue change, we haven’t heard of it since then and Today, Kotoko has written to GFA again requesting venue change.
But ghanasportspage.com believed that Management and the technical team took the decision because of congestion at the Accra Sports Stadium and how fixtures of the club were arranged by the FA.
Kotoko have played sixteen(16) matches with 27 points, scored 13 goals, and conceded 7 goals too as the second round yet to resume.
