Black Stars coach James Kwasi Appiah has announce a 23-man squad for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against South African and Sao Tome and Principe.
The Ghana coach recently toured Europe to discover new talents to augment his squad for the AFCON qualifiers, and spotted about five new players who impressed him during his scouting tour to the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain etc.
Kwasi Appiah announced the Ghana squad for the qualifiers on Wednesday as the Black Stars prepare to host 1996 African champions Bafana Bafana at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Thursday 14th November 2019 before traveling to face Sao Tome and Principe on the 18th of November.
Coach Kwasi Appiah handed call ups to former Accra Hearts of Oak dribbling wizard Torric Jibril, Idrisu Baba as well as Mohammed Salisu who are both based in Spain and Christopher Antwi Adjei who was discovered during the coach’s recent scouting tour to Germany.
Ghana is in group C along with South Africa, Sudan and Sao Tome and Principe.
