Distinctive Ghana Football Association Presidential aspirant Amanda Akuokor Clinton has unreservedly debunked reports circulating in the media that she has pulled out of the race for the upcoming Presidential elections on Friday.
In a move which will go down in the history books as the first woman to have successfully contested for the country’s top most seat in football administration, Amanda has consistently maintained a level of consistency in her message – which is servant leadership built on the foundation of transparency.
The Ghanaian born British trained Amanda, has been firm on her decision to lead the football governing body in the country and has since committed herself the course, leaving the decision to elect in the hands of delegates.
News broke on Thursday that she had pulled out of the race with just two days to elections, but the astute legal practitioner has issued a statement to deny the reports which she describes as “fake news”.
“News has reached me that it is being circulated on social media that I have withdrawn from my bid for president for the Ghana Football Association”, the statement begun.
“I am very much still a part of the race and I do not know what interest people have of publishing fake radio and news articles”, she stated.
Having denied the said reports vehemently, the visionary presidential aspirant thanked all and sundry for the resolute support given her in her pursuit to run football in the country.
“Thank you for your continued support of my vision to restore the GFA to its former glory one policy at a time”, she said.
Baring any unforeseen eventualities, the GFA presidential election will be held on Friday, 25th October, 2019 in Accra.
