Organizers of the 2019 Ga Homowo Challenge Cup have rescheduled the replay between Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics for Sunday, 20th October 2019.
The city derby involving the old city rivals faced each other in an intriguing display of soccer at the Accra sports stadium which ended with both sides unable to find the net. Contrary to what fans were made to believe prior to kick off, the game was not decided on penalty shoot outs to decide the winner as organizers swiftly opted for replay.
With the bragging rights up for grabs, the rematch for Sunday has been scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm at the Accra sports stadium.
The Ga Homowo Challenge Cup is played to commemorate the annual Homowo Festival which is celebrated by the Gas during which noise making is usually banned in Accra.
