The record league champions left the nation’s second capital, Kumasi on Sunday for the eastern region where they will be camping for about three weeks to prepare for the coming season. The team will be based at the Royal Plaza Hotel, and have their training sessions at the All Nations University pitch in Akwadum.
Coach Maxwell Konadu and his charges are expected to engage in low profile friendly matches while in Koforidua to get the team in shape for the start of the season.
The 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season will officially kick off on November 13. With the Baba Yara sports stadium still under renovations, Asante Kotoko have chosen the Accra sports stadium as their home ground for their league matches as well as their CAF Champions League campaign.
