Jordan Mintah(25) is aware that what Ghana Black Stars fans are expecting from the national team, is an AFCON trophy. And the Terengganu FC II star says he will give his very best for the country if the coach and the technical team call him up to feature for his nation.
“I am a Ghanaian and I have played in Ghana before traveling so if the opportunity comes, I will kill myself for my nation, this time I have determined, I am ready to die for our nation”, he told ghanasportspage.com.
Ghana’s last AFCON trophy was won back in 1982. 38years down the line, the Black Stars are still running after the silverware in the best of African competitions.
“The only thing I can promise is that I’ll give my best to help the team win AFCON.
“Sometimes, it’s sad that as a country we haven’t won any trophy since 1982. I can say, I am determined to win AFCON for Ghana”, he streamed.
Jordan Mintah has never had the opportunity to feature for the senior national team Black Stars of Ghana, but he believes that this is the time he must kill himself for Ghana should the call come.
The 25-year-old skillful Striker played 10 games and scored 7 goals in the just ended Malaysian premier league and helped the team to secure 2nd position.
The master shooter believes that with his confidence, it’s time to win the trophy for Ghanaians. The 25-year-old player has featured for Kessben FC then CHANGED to Medeama SC, played 30 games with 29 goals in the 2012/2013 season.
Jordan also spent a season-long deal with Wassaman United, played 10 matches, and scored 6 goals. He then traveled to Filipino to join Stallion FC from 2014 to 2017. Jordan excelled himself with a tremendous performance.
After his contract ended, he moved to Kaya-Iloilo in the same country from 2017 to 2019 played 80 matches, and scored 65 goals. Jordan is currently at Terengganu FC ll in Malaysia. Played 10 matches and scored 7 goals.
Statistically, Jordan Mintah has played 144 matches and scored 117 goals within these 8 years. He is a prolific striker Ghana must watch him very close.
