The Black Queens of Ghana will arrive in Accra this evening after claiming an emphatic 3-0 win over their Gabonese female counterparts in their Olympic games qualifier in Libreville on Wednesday.
The senior national women soccer team mauled Gabon’s Women national team, Les Pantheres by 3-0 on Wednesday at the Stade Augustin Monedon in Libreville to take a giant step in the qualifiers to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
Elizabeth Owusua put coach Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo’s side in front in the 41st minute with a brilliant curling shot from outside the box, Portia Boakye got the second in the 62nd minute before Priscilla Okyere sealed the victory for Ghana with a beautiful 86th minute finish.
Coach Quarcoo and her ladies have made the job look easier with that commanding victory ahead of the second leg on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Accra sports stadium.
The team of about 27 contingent which included 18 players, is presently airborne from the Libreville airport to Togo, and will continue to Ghana this evening, where they will continue preparations at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.
