Former Ghana U-17 side Black Starlets and Asante Kotoko fitness trainer Derrick Osei has joined Accra based Legon Cities FC as the new football season is set to begin.
Derrick Osei is an established name in Ghana football circles, having served as the fitness trainer for the Black Starlets team during their preparations for the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup finals staged in India.
The experienced trainer joined premier league giants Asante Kotoko upon recommendations from the then head coach of the Porcupine Warriors, Samuel Paa Kwasi Fabin where the two did marvelously well in terms of grooming the young players for the club.
However, his boss, Paa Kwasi Fabin, parted ways with Asante Kotoko in September 2018, Derrick Osei had to resign from his position. He later moved together with the former to Uganda where both worked for the Ugandan U-17 side with Derrick Osei serving as the fitness trainer.
The 2020/2021 football season is set to commence on Friday, November 13, and Derrick has been assigned to improve the fitness level of the Legon Cities players as they gear up for the start of the new season.
