The wait is finally over as sports ministry has set Wednesday, August 14, 2019 for the Black Stars B to begin camping as they prepare for next year’s CHAN tournament first leg qualifier against Burkina Faso.
The not absolute home based Black Stars are scheduled to play Burkina Faso over two legs for the CHAN 2020 tournament in Cameroon, with the first leg slated for September 20 in Kumasi, Ghana, before traveling to Ouagadougou in October for the return fixture. Maxwell Konadu’s side will also use this camping period to prepare for the WAFU tournament in Senegal which starts next month, with Ghana’s first game to be played against Gambia on September 28.
Coach Maxwell Konadu earlier this week named a 28-man squad for the two assignments before making another three late call ups to take the number to 31.
The 31 invited players are expected to report at the Georgia Hotel before 5:00pm on Wednesday. See the squad list below:
