The Leadership and Technical Managers of the GBF have agreed that Members of the BLACK BOMBERS(National Amateur Boxing Team) resume non-residential training on Monday-9th November 2020 at the Accra Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium.
Training starts at 6.39 am.

The Black Bombers being the most successful National Team in the history of Ghana’s participation at the Olympics, having won 3 of the county’s 4 Medals since the nation’s participation in the global sporting events in 1960, have so far qualified 2 boxers for the next Olympics that have been rescheduled to July and August 2021 due to the global pandemic – COVID-19.
The qualified boxers are Captain SULEMANU TETTEH ( Flyweight) and 19years old SAMUEL TAKYI (Featherweight). The host nation remains Japan in its capital Tokyo, hence Tokyo 2020.
There will be final global qualification bouts to be held in Paris – France sometime 2021 before the Olympics Games proper to offer a window of opportunity to more boxes to qualify for the upcoming Olympics Games.
