The WBO African Welterweight Champion Patrick Allotey who allegedly assaulted a football fan Michael Siaw Agyemang believed to be an Asante Kotoko fan, has finally handed himself to the police after an official complaint was lodged by Siaw against him.
Allotey, led by his management CABIC promotions, went to the Ministries Police station in Accra, where he was referred to the Accra regional police station on the basis that, the case had taken a public interest.
Upon arrival at the Ministries station, Allotey was handcuffed before being sent to the regional police command where where he went through normal procedures.
Allotey was made to take down his statement on the case and was granted bail immediately on Thursday evening.
The 29-year old Ghanaian boxer is expected to reappear at the police station along with his management on Friday for further investigations and interrogations.
