Former Asante Kotoko goal poacher Kwadwo Poku Mahala, as he is famously known, was unimpressed with the team’s performance against ES Setif on Sunday.
Speaking immediately after the game on Adinkra Radio on their famous program ‘Kotoko Hour,’ in New York – USA, the pacy striker who had exciting spells in the Ghana premier league for both Kotoko and King Faisal says the team had no plan in the game.
“Kotoko had no plan. No strategy. It will not help the team this way.” I have played these games before and I have been a player before so it’s difficult to make these comments but for Kotoko’s sake, I will say it.”
Kwadwo Poku advised management to concentrate more on recruitment of Kumasi-based players.
“When you play for Kotoko as a Kumasi based boy the way you love the team is different from the players who joined from outside. Because when you lose a match, you can’t go home but the feeling is different when you are not a Kumasi based.”
