Francis Akwafo, former forward for Asante Kotoko says Asante Kotoko has hit a top form to beat Algerian giants ES Sètif.
The Porcupine Warriors will lock horns with their Algerian counterparts coming Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in the first leg of the final knockout stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Asante Kotoko has been in phenomenal form and the ‘Reds’ are leading the league log with 23 points after thirteen matches.
And Francis Akwafo believes that the Fabulous lads will build upon the form in the league to secure qualification over ES Sètif.
In an exclusive interview with Opemsuo Radio 104.7 FM evening Sports show, Pramaso, he said, ” Kotoko is in super form in the League and I expect them to beat ES Sètif on Sunday.”
“The win over Karela United at Anyinase should inspire them to beat Sètif, though they will come much prepared.”
ES Setif is one of the most successful clubs in Algeria, having won the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 eight times and the Algerian Cup a record of eight times. They are also one of only three Algerian clubs to have won the CAF Champions League, winning it twice in 1988 and 2014.
