Ex-Black Stars and Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams says Former black Stars coach Dr James Kwasi Appiah was a fantastic coach and doesn’t know why his contract was not renewed. “Well, the first time I met Kwasi Appiah was in 2010 and as an assistant coach of the Black Stars exemplified awesome performances. I hope you know that Ghanaians want already cooked food and were always expecting good results from him, that was why he was under pressure”, Stephen Adams said. He also confirmed that Kwasi Appiah is a really good coach and his job as coach of the Black Stars should have been maintained. He was building the team and it was only a matter of time for the Black Stars to showcase results. ”
“Anyway, everything that happens is a way of God. They’ve given the job to C.K. Akonnor and he is also a Ghanaian so let’s hope and support him”, Former Black Stars goalie told www.ghanasportspage.com in China. He’s dumbfounded as to why people did not really appreciate the work of Kwasi Appiah with the Black Stars. That those with a good fondness for the sports and the tenets of coaching will continue to admire his great contribution to the Black Stars of Ghana.
He said that the pair of C.K. Akonnor and David Duncan as head and assistant coaches respectively is a great one too, with substantial experiences with the game, especially in Ghana. He asked for all to fully pray for and support them and hope for the best of results.
Former Aduana Stars goalie is on the verge of joining Accra Great Olympics on a half season loan deal.
