Premier League side Tachiman Eleven wonders have completed the signing of former Accra Hearts of Oak winger Ashitey Ollenu on a short term contract, ghanasportspage.com can exclusive confirm.
The skillful right footed winger completed his move to the Tachiman based club last Thursday and by agreement, will help the club for the remainder of the season when the Ghana Premier League makes the most awaited return from its COVID-19 break.
“It’s true I have signed for Eleven Wonders, that was last week Thursday”, Ollenu disclosed in an exclusive interview with ghanasportspage.com. “The deal is about an agreement, I will say it’s a one year deal, I will help them to finish the second round of the league, after that the contract would be reviewed”, he said.
Ashitey Ollenu, a native of Accra, is one of the few players among the likes of Osei Kofi (Rev.), Godwin Ablordey, Charles Assampong Taylor, Emmanuel Osei Kuffour (The Generaal), Sani Mohammed, Soulama Abdoulaye (Transition), Ernest Sowah who have had the opportunity to play for the two flagship football clubs of Ghana football, Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
The dribbling sensation made sensational move from Accra Hearts of Oak to Asante Kotoko in 2017, but could not have a successful stint at the Kumasi based side and was subsequently released.
In 2019, Ollenu was linked with a move to Ashantigold SC where he sought for participation in the CAF Confederations Cup with the Miners, but his arrival was late as the club had finished registering its squad for the said competition, and the deal fell through. He then moved to Dormaa Ahenkro based two times league champions Aduana Stars, where he spent over five months and had to leave later after contract negotiations broke down eventually.
The ambitious winger proceeded to join Accra Great Olympics and got registered for the 2019/2020 premier league season, but later agreed to a mutual termination of his contract with the club over lack of playing time.
Known for his fighting spirit and great quality on the field of play, his hard work caught the eye of the recruitment officials of Tachiman Eleven Wonders, under the supersvision and recommendations of head coach Ignatius Osei Fosu who have signed him on a short term awaiting the return of the premier league.
