Black Stars defender Rashid Sumaila has donated food items to the Muslim community in the the central region, Cape Coast as they warm themselves into the start of the Ramadan fasting.
The items presented include bags of rice, boxes of cooking oil, cartons of Milo beverage, cartons of milk, bags of sachet water among other cooking condiments.
The donation is part of numerous ways through which the Ghana international has been contributing to assist humanity, give back to society in the help fight against the coronavirus disease which has made living almost unbearable for the vulnerable especially.
Rashid Sumaila, a native of Cape Coast, is currently out of the country as he is based in Kuwait where he plays for Al Qhadsiya. The donation was done on his behalf by members of his family and selected friends.
The Ramadan fasting begins today, Thursday April 23 and climaxes on May 23, 2020.
