Premier League giants Aduana Stars Football Club are set to announce Mr Takyi Arhin as the new General Manager of the club following new steps taken to effect changes in the club’s management set up.
The Dormaa based club according to Nimdee FM, have shortlisted three football administrators comprising of former Berekum Chelsea CEO, Nana Oduro Sarfo, Lord Zico of Bechem United fame, and Takyi Arhin for the General Manager position, but the club has finally settled on Takyi Arhin for a reunion.
The vocal football administrator, Takyi Arhin is well known in the Ghana football circles, having worked as club Secretary of Berekum Arsenal, CEO for Brong Ahafo United, and also served as General Manager for Techiman Eleven Wonders. He has previously worked for Aduana Stars as the club’s Team Manager between the years 2009 and 2010 but left the club before his trip to South Africa for the FIFA World Cup finals tournament during which Ghana exited after losing to Uruguay in the quarter-finals.
The appointment, when made official, will see Takyi Arhin return to Aduana Stars after leaving some eleven years ago.
As part of the new management being formed, Mr George Gyawu who is currently the Operations Manager for Aduana Stars, a position he has held for years, has been elevated to be the new CEO of the club, filling the void left by former Accra Hearts of Oak Communications Director Albert Commey. Mr Gyawu will play the dual role as CEO and Operations Manager of the club. Other two appointments include Atta Debango as Team Manager and Baba Aluta as the Welfare Manager of Aduana Stars. Evans Oppong is however retained as the Communications Director of the club.
