Prolific Ghanaian striker Jordan Mintah has embarked on a benevolence move to donate edible and other needful items to the blind in Malaysia, as part of his burning desire to give back to society and help the needy to feel loved and part of the community they live in.
The Terengganu Football Club II forward has donated items consisting of bags of rice, sugar, cartons of milk, bathing and washing soap to the Madrasah Tahfiz orphanage home in the city of Kuala Terengganu in Malaysia. Other items presented include fruits such as water melon, in addition to biscuits as well as packs of tissues.
The 24-year old explains that his desire to give to society even from the little he has, is inspired by God’s words which encourages arms giving. According to him, the doctrines of God’s teaches universal love, regardless of once origin, race or standard of living and as such, despite he being a non-citizen in Malaysia, he believes all humans are of the body of Christ, a sign of oneness.
“God taught us how to love one another, it doesn’t matter where the person is from, because we are all a body of Christ”, he explained in a briefing with ghanasportspage.com.
The talented forward added that giving to the poor and the less privileged is a personal promise he made to God, and he believes it’s time to fulfill that promise through arms, hence the donation.
“It’s a promise I made with God to help the poor who needed it most. It’s not my first time, I donate to the orphanage here, this is my third time”, he disclosed.
Mintah, a former striker for Ghana’s second tier side Wassaman United and the then Kessben (now Medeama SC), joined Malaysian side Terengganu Football Club II in the 2019/2020 season from Philippine’s top flight side Kaya Futbol Club–Iloilo, and has since settled in perfectly into the Malaysian second tier premier league.
During the 2019/2020 Malaysian league season, Jordan Mintah featured in four (4) matches for his club, scoring 2 goals before the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
