Premier league side Medeama Sporting Club have announced the signing of former Asante Kotoko, Bechem United striker Ahmed Toure.
The 33-year old Burkinabe striker completed his move to the Tarkwa based side on Tuesday, January 5 after completing all paper works. Toure joined the Yellow and Mauves on a free transfer after signing a two-year deal on Tuesday which will keep him at the club till 2023. The completion of the deal was followed by official announcement by the club.
Ahmed Toure completed his return to the Ghana Premier League (GPL) after seeing out his contract with the Guinea top-flight side AS Kaloum in December 2020. Medeama Sporting Club becomes the third Ghanaian premier league club to sign the Burkinabe goal machine after his remarkable stints with Asante Kotoko and Bechem Uninted.
Medeama Sporting Club have been struggling in the 2020/2021 GPL, lying 13th on the league table with just 7 points from from a possible 21 points out of 7 matches played, and the arrival of Toure is expected to lift the club up and help them contend for the title this season.
