A dream starts for the Ogya boys as they recorded a 2-1 victory over Elmina Sharks at the Nana Agyemang Badu stadium for match day 21 of the Ghana premier league.
Sam Adams’s two goals in the first half were enough as the former champions showed a positive reaction in Dormaa-with Justice Mensah snatching the consolation for Sharks.
Aduana Stars started on the front foot and instantly broke the deadlock with a deserving lead through Sam Adams.
The ex-Asante Kotoko winger added his second in the afternoon with a smart finish for Aduana’s second goal.
Elmina Sharks took the challenge and started the second half on a positive note. Controlling the game and putting pressure on the home team but could not make their possession count as they failed to score the few chances they created.
Richard Mpong came in for Sharks to add more bite in the attacking third but still could not find a way.
However, Sharks kept on pushing and deservedly pulled one back nine minutes to end proceedings through Justice Mensah as Aduana held on to a 2-1 victory.
The Ogya boys will make a short trip to Techiman as they play as guests to Eleven Wonders for their next GPL match.
