Asante Kotoko recorded an important victory over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Len Clay Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
The Porcupines made it three successive wins in the Premier League, having beaten Legon Cities at and Dreams FC last weekend at the same venue.
Daniel Korsah delivered a long-range shot from a free-kick to beat goalkeeper Razak Abalora who could not do anything.
Captain Emmanuel Gyamfi equalized for the Reds before the break to score his second Premier League goal this season.
After the break, Gyamfi benefitted from goalkeeper Razak Issah’s howler to give the Porcupines the lead in the 50th-minute to net his third of the season.
The visitors kept chasing for the equalizer which never came and Kofi Elia nearly scored levelled for the Crabs but he was denied by Abalora’s brilliance.
It was a well-deserved victory for Asante Kotoko, who stretched their lead at the top to 44 points, four points above second-placed Hearts of Oak on the league table.
