Opoku Opoku Agyemang scored the game’s only goal and his seventh of the season from the spot-kick seven minutes into injury time to arrest Medeama’s recent poor run after Owusu Banahene have adjuged to have handled the ball in the 18-yard box after a scramble.
As a result, Medeama SC has moved to fifth position on the Ghana Premier League table as they keep hopes of challenging for the league title alive while Ashantigold are ninth on the table after 26 games.
