Communication Director of Aduana Stars FC, Evans Oppong Maestro has rubbished claims of Ghanaian Icon Asamoah Gyan fighting their Operations Manager George Gyawu.
The two times Ghana Premier League winners travelled to play struggling Legon Cities side in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League. The Ogya Boys lost 2-0 to the Royals, kind courtesy Jonas Attoquaye and Joseph Adjei goals.
It was reported that, Ghana’s all time leading goalscorer Asamoah Gyan had a banter with George Gyawu, Aduana Stars Operations Manager in the dressing room after first half of the game. Leading to Gyan pouring water on the club administrator.
But this report has turned out to be false and does not hold water.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com reporter Kolog Bonaventure in an exclusive interview on Sunday night, Evans disclosed that the reportage is false and should be disregarded.
“I was at the VIP, I asked George Gyawu and he said it’s not true”
“George told me, nothing of that happened and it’s not true”Nothing happened, we lost 2-0 and we are in our team bus heading to Dormaa to prepare for our next game”, he added.
Aduana Stars defeat to Legon Cities leaves them on 8th position with 39 points after 26 league games.
