General Manager of Aduana Stars Takyi Arhin is positive his sides hope of winning 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season is on course despite a slow start.
The fire boys who were tipped by pundits to annex the league title currently occupy 8th position with 39 points after 26 matches.
They lost 2-0 to Legon Cities in matchday 26 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, despite the defeat, Takyi Arhin, who’s known in the football circles as ‘Thunder’ believes his side still has the chance to clinch the title.
Aduana Stars over the weekend defeated Legon Cities 2-1 at home to keep their hopes of clinching the league alive.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com, Takyi Arhin said, “We don’t belong to where we are now on the log but that’s how life is, full of ups and downs. 8th position with 39 points with 8 matches to go, we have 5 home matches and three always games and we are still in contention, we’ve not given up. We are hoping to move up the ladder”
“Between the first-placed club and us (Aduana) is just seven points so all is not lost. As they say, champions always die hard and as defending champions, we need to fight till the end, it’s not over until it’s over”
Aduana Stars will host Asante Kotoko in matchday 27 of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.
