Ghanaian striker, Bernard Tekpetey, has heaped praise on giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko for their splendid performances so far in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians are currently at the summit of the league log with 49 points while the Porcupines are on the second spot with 47 points after 27 round of matches.
And according to the former Schalke O4 striker who currently plies his trade in Bulgaria for FC Ludogorets, the form of the two giants is good for Ghana Football and the Premier League.
In an interview with Original TV, the 23-year old said, “It wasn’t easy for Kotoko and Hearts of Oak to be on top of the Ghana Premier League because of hard work on Karela United, Great Olympics and Medeama and this has shown the competitiveness in the ongoing Ghana Premier League this season”
The 23-year-old further stated that it’s good for Hearts and Kotoko to be on top of the table to make the competition tight and very attractive.
“If Hearts and Kotoko are on top of the league table, it really sells the league and makes the league attractive and competitive.”
“All the clubs have put up a good performance in this season’s Ghana Premier League and the quality and attractiveness of the league are excellent ‘So Far So Good’.”
Hearts of Oak will next play regional rivals Great Olympics while Asante Kotoko will also take on Ashantigold in the Ashanti derby.
