Evans Adomako hit a brace as Asante Kotoko defeated Kwadaso-based Sampdoria 4-0 on Thursday morning in a friendly match.
The Porcupines have taken advantage of not playing their matchweek 29 away game against Inter Allies this weekend to play friendly matches to get players in shape before Monday.
Today, a similar exercise was staged at the Adako Jachie training ground when the Reds invited lower-tier outfit Kwadso Sampdoria.
Despite dominating play in the first half, Kotoko failed to break into the away team’s defence as the first department ended in a stalemate.
After the break, Evans Adomako opened the scoring in the 55th-minute after he was set up by strike partner Sarfo Taylor.
Adomako again scored his second on the day after connecting to Patrick Asmah’s assist to give the Porcupines two-goal lead in the 65th-minute before Sarfo Taylor scored the third after 15 minutes.
Osman Ibrahim came from the bench to net the game’s fourth to end the game 4-0 in favour of Asante Kotoko.
The visitors kept pressing for another but the Porcupines proved too strong for them as the referee brought the game to an end.
