Medeama SC coach Yaw Preko said his side had simply not had fortune on their side as they suffered a 2-0 loss to Hearts of Oak in a matchweek 29 game on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Ibrahim Salifu and Benjamin Afutu goals in either half made sure the Phobians continue their impressive form under Samuel Boadu to maintain a firm lead at the top of the league table.
However, Preko, who replaced Samuel Boadu at Medeama attributes “hard luck” to their defeat.
“Hard luck, hard luck, you saw the game, we played really well but unfortunately we just couldn’t take our chances.
“Tactically you know my boys are really good, they can play football so to stop them, you have to be fouling them and that’s exactly what happened.
“We have to keep on going, it’s not finished, we have to keep on going.
“It’s unfortunate we came in for the three points but like I said, we were really unlucky.” Yaw Preko said
Medeama despite the defeat lie 4th on the league table with 46 points same as Karela United who are 3rd.
